Wow the 1st year anniv of the blog is getting near! Even if I'm too busy with other stuffs, I am thinking ways of how to make the 1st year anniversary of the blog special.

Other October Updates

I have updated my October Post plans. Some new stuffs for my blog :
1. Upgraded to Wordpress 2.8.5. Ispamers are getting aggro nowadays :)
2. First time my blog got hit by Bandwidth Limit Exceeded
3. Created a Facebook Fan Page for the blog. Got some 36 Fans so far.
4. And it seems there was some pagerank drop. But I'm not complaining :). I now understand the pagerank is just one metric, and there are other metrics to consider in the site.

On Wordpress, Warcraft and DoTA

I heard that there are some attacks on older wordpress versions. I'm just glad that I updated to 2.8.4 as soon as it is available.

And speaking of attacks, I remember how orcs (don't exactly recall if its from a grunt or a peon) respond when their base is under attack in Warcraft. They shout "We are under attack!" with a snort hehe. It reminded me that its been years since I last played a Warcraft 3 skirmish. And its been more than a month since I last played DoTA. But what I've heard is that some DoTA players are busy with a dota-cloned game call HoN Heroes of Newerth. Well good luck guys and have fun in the game.

Having Fun with Games Part 2

Just like the June 2009 post: I'm having some fun with some cool games.
Farm Town is still a staple one and I'm playing it with high school friends. Kindah wonderful since sometimes we have mini-reunion in one of the farms (4 batchmates chatting, harvesting, plowing and planting together).
Mafia Wars is with College and High School friends. I'm still a low level mogul but its fun. I've written some cool post: Farm Town Cheats and Mafia Wars Cheats.

August Blessings

August is a fruitful month for me and my blog. I am very thankful for it and I promise that I will strive harder to make my blog better.
Some updates for the whole month of August:
1. First google adsense check received!
2. Good Bonus: Goldilocks and Nuffnang Mini Laptop!
3. Updated my blog with patches 2.8.3 and 2.8.4
4. Spam count reached 4000! I'm doing blocking via IP so I guess it kinda slowed down already.

Wordpress 2.8.2 and other updates

I updated to Wordpress 2.8.2 this week. This wordpress build fixes some cross site scripting (XSS) issues and therefore its a critical one (security-wise).

I also did some follow up post on Facebook Farm Town Cheats. Farm Town developers are doing some great job in making the farm town game more enjoyable (making routine and boring tasks more bearable).

No new updates for Mybrute Cheats. The mybrute.com site was unavailable for the brute games for some 48 to 72 hours last weekend. My main brutes had some training and levelling to do but not as intense as previous months.

This is also hot of the grill this morning some discussions/speculation on Willie Revillame Died. Dont know if this is true, so if you have a more accurate info, kindly visit that post and leave some comments there.

Really this is alarming, since I know that pharmacy related spams are rampant in emails and I'm worried that these sms may learn the sophisticated methods that their email cousins have employed. Well lets wait and see

Update to Wordpress 2.8.1 and other updates

I updated to WP 2.8.1. It was a quick update. WP patches is getting common and hope they will not have it as frequent as patch tuesdays :)

For other updates for this past few weeks, let me see. OK I created a blog disclosure policy. This may be handy in the future even if I don't do paid post or reviews. I also updated my about page to contain more info.

I also create some post on my Angels & Demons experience and Ambigram. If you are looking for some free ambigram info then feel free to read my post.

I also posted some of my favorite stuffs from Goldilocks! So for this week alone we tried the choco roll, the polvoron and the fluffy mamon. Yummy!

Update to Wordpress 2.8 etc

I updated my blog to WordPress 2.8. The look and feel is like 2.7. WP.org site says that they tweaked performance, and yes I noted some improvements on the admin console. Before major WP update, I backed up the db and wp files.

I also tried the wasabi related post plugin. Hope it won't mess up my feeds this time.

Having Fun with Games

I'm having some good time with some fancy games :)
Mybrute is a fun game that I play with my family, office buddies and friends. Farm Town is a cool game that I tried out with Raven. It's funny, I even wrote some cheats and tips post: MyBrute Cheats and Farm Town Cheats.

Have fun challenging my brutes and planting and harvesting some crops there!

Pagerank, 3000, Comment Policy etc

Some updates for my Blog for last 2 weeks:

• Major Milestone: Pagerank 2 in less than 6 months :)
• Another Milestone: Akismet caught the 3,000th spam comment.
• Tinkering with Twitter and got my 100th Twitter follower :) i'm going for quality for now, but I'm not abandoning the quantity plans.
• Moved my comment policy to a separate page so that readers and commenters can access it easily.

Some plans for these coming week:

• WP 2.8 is ready so I need to backup the blog and upgrade to 2.8
• I'm preparing my blog disclosure.
• Major updates for my About page

Mybrute, Katrina and other updates

I just recently noticed that my MyBrute Cheats post is also my 100th post. Wow!

I'm trying this twitter thing and right now I'm getting tired of this twitterfox and is tinkering with this tweetdeck.

I also made some post on my personal views to Katrina Halili Scandal and Maricar Reyes Scandal. A show of support to Katrina and some "hurrah's" for our beloved politicians who are gaining some media mileage because of the issue.

2000 + Twitter Thing etc.

Some updates for this week.
1. Spam count broke the 2000th mark! Long Live the Spammers :)
2. I'm boosting out this twitter thing. I used the twit this post code and mixed it up with some cute twitter bird icon I found in the net.
3. I also tried the twittercounter. I placed it beside the feedburner widget.
4. Removed the Widgetbucks. It's been months and still I've got nothing out of it. It will free up some space, that will be useful in the future.
5. I posted some Mybrute Cheats. I hope it can help other mybrute fan out there.

Slow Access in US and KFC

I'm a roadtrip for almost 3 weeks now. Been very busy with office stuffs and coupled with my sssssslllllowwwww blog access (don't know the root cause yet) my frequency of update is down to 1 per week last week. I am evaluating if I need to host it outside PH, but I am weighing the pros and cons.

Btw we had free KFC grilled chicken for lunch courtesy of Kentucky Fried Chicken Coupons. If you are in the US, just follow the steps.

Pacquio Hatton Bout

The bout is set on May 2 2009.

I'm not a big fan, but I like Pacman playing style. He brings excitement and much firepower in the ring. He is also humble. I am hoping that he win his fight versus Ricky Hatton. Wait let me bet on him online like I put my bet in Philippine lotto :)

I still remember that during his amateur days my brother liked him for his "labay-labay" punching style. He even said that this guy will be big-time in the future (I didn't believed him way back then) And then Pacman turned pro and won several big fights. And now he is voted as the best pound per pound boxer in the world. The last fight with the Golden Boy was really impressive.

It's the related post plugin

Yep! It's the (most likely) culprit for my feed problem. Except for this related post feature, all the rest of the plugins are back. I also put back the infolink. So updates and posts should be more regular this week.

I have so many topics in mind, but I need to focus. It's really feels good to be back in the game.

Feed fixed

Yehey! I have fixed my feeds. It was really a hard time for me and my blog this week, been very busy with work and some other stuffs.

I have not pin-pointed the exact one but the culprit may be one of the plugins I recently installed.

Seeing my feed with no error feels like winning the Philippine Lotto :)

Some useful tips I learned about Philippine Lotto

1. The Super Lotto 6/49 draws are done every Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays while the Mega Lotto 6/45 draws are done every Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 9:00 p.m. This is televised via NBN Channel 4.

2. The jackpot was last week, February 22, 2009 was one of the biggest to date. The pot prize was PHP 347,836,903 (around 7M USD or 5.6M Euro) for Super Lotto 6/49. The winning combination was 06-12-20-26-33-34.

Google Analytics

I recently setup Google analytics for my main blog. It is showing up some good stuffs and its free :) They have a cool plugin in WP to do it with great ease and simpleness. They say you can even integrate it to adsense.

Global Translator Plugin

I installed Global Translator plugin. This is amazing plugin and you will envy your blog afterwards since it will look more smart-ass than the author (language-wise). I enjoyed reading my post in Spanish and Portuguese :)

I believe this is a good move SEO-wise. Will keep you all posted on the developments related to this translator engine.

Blogroll as a new page

The blogroll is getting longer. Hence I decided to tidy things up and put them in 1 Links page. I found a simple plugin that does the nitty gritty task and placed a love link to the author. Hope I can categorize the links into a some ordered list soon (its low priority for now).

Over the weekend I added Privacy Policy Page for menardconnect.com. I've read that this privacy policy is stated in the TOS of google. I'm planning to properly sort out the blogroll and the link exchange list.

Was about to post on the QCSHS bloggers SNAFU, but the situation seems complicated hence no posts yet.

Helped Alec create his own blogspot. I'm really getting good at this blogging evangelism thing!

The long wait and speculation is over. I've got this info from Supreme column of Philstar.com so this is reliable. The Part 2 Reunion concert is flagged as "The Final Set" is scheduled on March 7 2009. Press Release will be coming in January 19.
